My dad is really good at tiling and he came today to teach Caleb how to install white subway tiles for our kitchen back splash. I've waited 3 years for this day and I'm so excited! I sold some stuff a few months ago on Craigslist and was able to afford to buy the tile and other things for their installation. When we moved in there was this old (1954) paneling for the backsplash. It was too country looking for my style. We bought an inexpensive white subway tile from Lowe's to replace it and we're using 1/8th inch spacers in between the tiles, and "bright white" grout will go on top in a few days.
